Job summary

TÜV Rheinland Group in Boxborough, MA, seeks a Senior Test Engineer / Compliance Engineer to join the Power Electronics team. You will conduct compliance testing, develop test plans, and support certification projects for batteries, ESS, EVSE, and related electrical products.

The role requires 2–5 years in product safety and regulatory compliance, will travel up to 50%, and interact with customers, certification bodies, and laboratories to ensure ISO/IEC 17025 conformance.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience in related area.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in product safety, regulatory compliance, certification, or electrical testing.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and power electronics.
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation including test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform compliance testing, engineering evaluations, and certification of electrical and power electronic products per NA and international standards.
• Develop test plans, procedures, documentation, and technical reports.
• Conduct product construction reviews, design evaluations, and troubleshoot test failures with customers to achieve compliance.
• Execute laboratory testing, analyze data, support operations, and maintain equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, QA, certification bodies, and customers to ensure ISO/IEC 17025 compliance.
