Job summary

Stable Sea is seeking a senior engineer to own compliance controls across wallet, screening, AML, and KYB systems. You will integrate TRM Labs, Persona, and other vendors while building auditable, scalable services.

This role collaborates with the compliance officer and founding engineers to ship end-to-end solutions. You will work in a remote US-first environment, applying strong testing, observability, and policy-driven design.

Qualifications

• 4+ years backend or fullstack engineering in regulated finance.
• Experience integrating at least one compliance or financial-infrastructure vendor.
• Working knowledge of sanctions, AML, and KYC/KYB concepts.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into system behavior.
• Strong testing and observability; treat alerts as findings.
• Clear written communicator; comfortable with ambiguity.
• Experience using AI tools in development and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own wallet controls, sanctions screening, AML detection, KYB, case management.
• Integrate vendor platforms for screening and watchlists with audits.
• Develop broker-dealer supervisory tooling and evidence of supervisory action.
• Maintain books-and-records infrastructure with retention and provenance.
• Build runtime-configurable controls with full audit trails and alerts.
