Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a compliance and accreditation subject matter specialist to oversee the Compliance Department and drive accreditation efforts. You will create assessment tools, communicate rules, and represent the organization during audits.

Key duties include interpreting criteria, ensuring policies meet guidelines, and reporting findings with improvements. You will also train staff and coordinate with managers on compliance requirements, with travel up to 60% as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent leadership skills and the ability to work with diverse groups.
• Strong verbal and written communication; capable of making presentations.
• Travel up to 60% may be required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field with 3 years of relevant experience in corrections or related capacity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Compliance Department and compliance activities.
• Interpret compliance and accreditation criteria for organization, client, or third parties.
• Develop assessment tools to identify issues and report findings with recommendations.
• Conduct daily reviews of security services and act as back-up auditor for food service and healthcare.
• Train and supervise other Compliance Auditors and ensure adherence to policies.
