Job summary

Turo is seeking a Senior Investigator for its CIU to lead high‑impact, multi‑agency investigations protecting the platform and users. You will own cases end‑to‑end, coordinate with federal partners, and prepare legally sound reports and declarations for court proceedings.

You will drive proactive intelligence sharing, manage complex fraud networks, and support ongoing CIU SOP improvements, all while operating on a hybrid schedule in a role with national scope.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in fraud investigation, financial crime investigation, law enforcement, or related field.
• Strong working knowledge of federal level organized crime typologies (mule schemes, guest for hire, etc.).
• Experience preserving evidence and chain of custody; meets evidentiary standards.
• Ability to independently manage a portfolio of concurrent, high complexity investigations.
• Able to respond to zero-notice exigent events outside normal hours; standby capacity.
• Excellent written communication for investigative summaries and sworn declarations.
• Ability to synthesize device, identity, financial, and behavioral data into clear narratives.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end lifecycle of CIU cases, including exigent response, multi-agency and organized ring investigations.
• Conduct proactive federal investigations and maintain partnerships with federal and task force partners (HSI, CBP, CHP, AZ DPS).
• Prepare data packages and legally reviewed reports for intelligence sharing with law enforcement.
• Coordinate Mexico vehicle recovery operations; GPS and VIN verification, NICB liaison, Claims coordination.
• Respond to exigent events within SLA and outside business hours as required.
• Maintain relationships with law enforcement and strategic partners (NICB, HSI, CBP, task forces).
• Prepare certified business records and sworn declarations for court; provide testimony as needed.
• Contribute to CIU SOPs and operational infrastructure development.
