Ave Staffing is recruiting a Complex Commercial Litigation Associate for a premier business law firm in Raleigh, NC. The role focuses on high-stakes trial work, including intellectual property, employment, and regulatory disputes, within a collaborative, non-siloed practice environment. Candidates must have 4–6 years of substantive complex litigation experience, a J.D.

from an accredited law school, and an active U.S. license with NC admission within one year.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of substantive, high-level complex commercial litigation experience.
• J.D. from an accredited law school with a distinguished academic record.
• Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction; must obtain NC State Bar within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of the litigation lifecycle, including pre-suit investigations and discovery strategy.
• Act as first-chair advocate in depositions, evidentiary hearings, and oral arguments.
• Draft complex pleadings, summary judgment motions, and appellate briefs.
• Supervise discovery protocols and manage third-party subpoena workflows.
• Partner with senior counsel on trial preparation, including motions in limine and expert disclosures.
• Provide strategic risk assessment and advisory services to corporate and institutional clients.
