Job summary

RiverStone is seeking a Complex Claims Analyst with a strong background in Commercial Auto and General Liability to independently manage complex, high-exposure claims from assignment through resolution. This role offers hybrid work within 60 miles of Manchester, NH or Garden City, NY or remote within the United States.

You will investigate coverage and liability, develop resolution strategies, monitor reserves, and collaborate with counsel and experts.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in commercial claims handling, with Commercial Auto & General Liability.
• Strong knowledge of coverage analysis, liability, damages, reserving, claims investigation, and risk transfer.
• Experience partnering with outside counsel and managing litigation strategy.
• Ability to independently manage a complex caseload, competing priorities, deadlines, and billable-hour expectations.
• Four-year college degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage Commercial Auto, General Liability, and Excess claims from assignment through resolution.
• Investigate and evaluate coverage, liability, damages, and overall claim exposure.
• Develop and execute effective claims handling and resolution strategies.
• Establish, monitor, and adjust reserves based on exposure and claim developments.
• Identify and pursue risk transfer, contribution, indemnification, and subrogation opportunities.
• Oversee litigated claims in partnership with Approved Panel Counsel, including litigation strategy and resolution.
• Ensure proper file setup, documentation, reserving, and compliance with company procedures.
• Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely claim files while effectively managing competing priorities and deadlines.
• Consistently meet established billable-hour and productivity requirements while maintaining high standards for claim quality, accuracy, documentation, and client service.
• Participate in the development of claims handling strategies, special projects, and companywide committees and initiatives.
• Mentor and share technical knowledge with less-experienced claims professionals as needed.
