Job summary

Liberty Mutual is expanding its Complex Casualty Claims Team and seeking a Senior Claims Resolution Specialist to manage severe, high-exposure auto and homeowner’s claims. This role offers remote or hybrid work depending on location, with two days a month in some hubs.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of complex casualty claims experience, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and excellent communication. A FL or TX All-Lines Adjuster license and training opportunities are part of the plan.

Qualifications

• Must have expert knowledge of coverage, liability and complex claims handling procedures.
• Must be able to effectively handle claims at the highest technical and complexity level.
• Must be knowledgeable of state and federal laws in the adjuster’s jurisdiction.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus years of related work is typical.

Responsibilities

• Manage investigation, evaluation and resolution of complex auto and homeowner’s casualty claims.
• Assess coverage and damages; recommend settlement strategies and escalate for authority review.
• Identify potential suspicious claims and refer to SIU; pursue subrogation opportunities.
• Collaborate with trial counsel; attend mediations, arbitrations, trials, hearings and conferences.
• Prepare detailed litigation and trial reports for local management and Home Office.
• Communicate with policyholders, witnesses, attorneys and claimants to gather information.
• Respond to written and telephone inquiries including status reports.
• Maintain reserves and adjust increases on high-exposure cases.
• Safeguard confidential information across all claim files.
• Oversee billing practices of outside and in-house counsel for compliance and cost efficiency.
• Mentor colleagues or stand in for Claims Team Manager as needed.
• Participate in special projects as directed.
