Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in Boston is seeking a senior Complex Assets Product Manager to lead day-to-day product management for complex financial instruments, set strategy, and coordinate product life cycles within the Complex Assets domain.

The role requires deep hands-on knowledge of Complex Assets including OTC and Exchange Traded Derivatives and Portfolio Swaps, and you will develop product plans, manage risk, and drive cross-functional initiatives with product, operations, design, and IT to deliver

Qualifications

• Extensive Complex Assets/Derivatives industry experience, ideally in a Product Management capacity within financial services.
• Deep and technical understanding of multi-asset class OTC derivatives, including lifecycle events and service offerings impacting Fund Accounting.
• Proven knowledge of Portfolio Swaps and Exchange Traded Derivatives.
• Experience defining economic minimum data requirements for financial instruments.
• Solid understanding of derivative market conventions, data models and market event impacts on valuation and processing.
• Experience in Product Management roles focused on financial instruments.
• Experience managing across multi-function and/or global business.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines, with strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee strategic roadmap, development, launch, and marketing to gain maximum benefit from each product.
• Oversee day-to-day product management for core products, including delivery and client communication strategies, and help prioritize across teams.
• Execute client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, and channel strategies to differentiate Citi products.
• Develop plans and execute functional strategies for regions or countries with cross-unit coordination.
• Manage client and competitor market research, develop product innovation roadmap, and address product commoditization challenges.
• Oversee all aspects of program life cycle management including market demands and technology trends.
• Contribute to revenue and expense goals, and identify opportunities and gaps in business plans.
• Develop and communicate a business plan to approach the marketplace and coordinate team procedures and client resolutions.
• Drive innovation by working with external partners to develop products and manage vendor relationships.
