Job summary

Salamander Solutions in Houston, TX is seeking a Completions Applications Engineer to design and apply advanced heater systems for conventional and unconventional oil & gas wells. You will develop integrated heater completion solutions, including intelligent completions and mechanical wellbore tools, aligned with customer needs and operations.

On-site presence is required. You will work with Sales, Operations, and Engineering to translate requirements into technically compliant, commercially

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, petroleum, or materials engineering.
• 5–10 years in downhole completions or production solutions.
• Experience building well completion hook-up drawings and procedures.
• Experience in preparing technical proposals.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Review customer requirements and recommend heater system configurations.
• Configure heater systems for quotation and proposal development.
• Prepare preliminary heater layouts and wellbore schematics.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Engineering to translate requirements.
• Provide technical support during job planning, tender, and post‑job review.
• Review operating conditions and verify compatibility with designs.
• Escalate non‑standard applications or new product requirements to the VP of Engineering.
• Stay informed on industry trends and customer applications.
