Job summary

Salamander Solutions, Inc is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to design, develop, test, and improve downhole heating systems and surface equipment for oil and gas applications. You will create electrical designs, schematics, BOMs, and documentation with a focus on reliability and cost efficiency.

Collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, and Sales to deliver commercially viable solutions. This on-site role requires hands-on development, testing, and field deployment support to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4–8 years in electrical engineering, product development, industrial systems, or oilfield equipment.
• Experience with electrical design software, schematic development, and system troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of power distribution, controls, and instrumentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support electrical systems for downhole heating and surface equipment.
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and docs.
• Perform electrical analyses and component selection for compliance and safety.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cost-effective solutions.
• Support product development, testing, and field deployments to improve reliability.
• Provide technical support for projects and manufacturing operations.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities for improvements and cost reductions.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, IEC and other standards.
