Job summary

Dahl Consulting in Minnetonka, MN, invites an experienced Compensation Consultant to lead enterprise compensation strategy. This role is hybrid—onsite 3+ days per week (Tue–Thu required)—and reports to Total Rewards, overseeing a team of three senior consultants to design, implement, and govern compensation programs.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in compensation, strong leadership, and expertise in base, incentive, and executive compensation with regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive compensation experience.
• Experience supporting sales and/or executive compensation programs.
• Leadership experience managing compensation professionals.
• Expertise in compensation design, salary administration, market pricing, incentives, and job evaluation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven recommendations.
• Strong communication, consulting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of compensation regulations and pay governance practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise compensation programs including base salary, annual incentives, sales compensation, and executive initiatives.
• Develop and maintain job architecture, salary structures, and governance processes.
• Manage and develop a team of three Senior Compensation Consultants; establish goals and ensure priorities.
• Partner with HRIS, Payroll, and HR leadership to optimize compensation systems and workflows.
• Advise leaders on job evaluations, market competitiveness, and pay equity considerations.
