Job summary

Macy’s in New York seeks a Senior Compensation professional to act as a senior manager-level contributor, advising business areas on pay decisions, market competitiveness, and program application. You will partner with HR, leaders, and the Compensation team to deliver guidance and analytics.

You will develop Excel-based models, evaluate pilots, research market trends, and create tools and reports to support decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing large data sets in compensation or finance.
• Experience advising leaders on compensation decisions and market competitiveness.
• Strong communication, consultation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide compensation consultation and recommendations to leaders on pay decisions, programs, and guidelines.
• Assess payout trends and effectiveness of compensation programs, including field incentive plans and base pay.
• Evaluate ROI and design incentives to drive measurable business outcomes.
• Translate complex analyses into actionable insights for decisions.
• Develop Excel-based and other analytical models to assess impact of changes.
• Conduct analyses to evaluate pilots, new programs, and policies.
• Research market trends to support compensation strategy.
• Develop tools and reporting to enable partners to make informed decisions.
• Support annual compensation planning activities, including merit and incentives.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, improvement-oriented environment.
