This team is a small, yet dynamic, collaborative team focusing on crafting the strategy, frameworks, and processes behind how we reward new and existing talent in a market competitive, transparent and equitable way.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Compensation Analyst to join our dynamic Human Resources team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing our compensation programs to attract, motivate, and retain top talent. This role requires a strategic problem solver with a deep understanding of compensation practices, market trends, and regulatory requirements. As a key member of the Total Rewards team, you will partner to keep Etsy’s pay for performance plans competitive, reportable, and aligned with the company’s overall business strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead comprehensive compensation programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, and bonus schemes.
  • Conduct thorough market analyses to ensure appropriate positioning and internal equity.
  • Analyze compensation data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, Finance, and other departments to ensure alignment of compensation programs with organizational objectives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on compensation, providing advice and support to managers and employees.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives related to total rewards and employee engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date compensation data in HR systems.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on compensation trends, metrics, and program effectiveness.
  • Apply data analytics to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Coordinate the implementation and administration of compensation programs, ensuring alignment with company goals and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Lead annual compensation review processes, including merit increases, promotions, bonus, and equity distributions.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners and senior leadership to address compensation-related matters.
  • Develop and update compensation policies and procedures to ensure they reflect best practices and align with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to compensation guidelines and practices across the organization.
  • Provide direction and training to HR and management teams on compensation-related topics.
  • Administration of compensation programs and processes.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CCP) a plus.
  • Compensation strategy and analysis.
  • Stakeholder collaboration.
  • Data management and reporting.
  • Program management.
  • Policy development and compliance (preferred).
  • Ability to prioritize and drive multiple concurrent projects to success in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of compensation theories, practices, and market trends.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Workday preferred) and compensation software tools; advanced Excel skills.
  • Stakeholder partnership and management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity and comfort utilizing Google Suite, Slack, and Monday.com (preferred).

Hours and Location:

  • Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week.
  • Remote anywhere in the US.
