Job summary

CommVault Systems Engineer (Data Protection / Backup) at Contact Government Services (CGS) seeks an experienced Data Protection Engineer to design, implement, and support backup and recovery solutions for a large federal government environment, spanning WAN to multi-tier platforms.

You will collaborate with operations to ensure timely restores, security patching, DISA STIG alignment, and capacity analytics while maintaining documentation and compliance in a fast-paced, mission-critical setting.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Commvault data protection and recovery.
• Experience with Windows/Linux servers and networking.
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, implement, test, and support backup/recovery solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex backup issues across servers and networks.
• Provide analytics, capacity planning, and reporting for backup environments.
• Apply security patches and ensure compliance with federal requirements.
• Collaborate with operations to support enterprise infrastructure processes.
