Job summary

Cowley County seeks an Intensive Supervision Officer II for the Community-Based Services department in Winfield, Kansas. This full-time role supervises officers and clients under district court supervision, provides coaching, and ensures program compliance and quality assurance.

Responsibilities include evaluating cases, coaching staff, developing supervision plans, and maintaining effective communication with law enforcement and community resources.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in probation, parole, social casework or counseling or related field.
• Experience in working with at-risk individuals in criminal justice settings is required.
• Familiarity with Evidence Based Practices, strategies and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Assess officers’ supervision and communication skills to train and coach staff.
• Review case files and records for accuracy and quality of interventions.
• Oversee case management decisions and court recommendations to reduce recidivism.
• Coordinate agency activities to meet organizational goals and deadlines.
• Supervise staff in the absence of the Director.
• Ensure safe and respectful supervision practices and staff development.
