Job summary

Spire Inc. in Kentucky seeks a Senior Communications Specialist to manage, produce and implement internal and external communications for employees and customers.

The role requires an accomplished writer who can craft effective content across channels, including digital platforms, email, newsletters and intranet. You will lead collaborative projects, develop editorial calendars, optimize content for web and SEO, and partner with the Digital Strategy team on social media.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of writing and editing experience.
• Experience managing routine weekly content publication.
• Strong written communications across channels (customer, employee, media).
• Project management capabilities and editorial planning.

Responsibilities

• Establish and nurture relationships with Spire leaders and employees.
• Provide communications strategy and craft materials (emails, letters, booklets, web content).
• Lead communications team for high-visibility projects.
• Create and deploy content for multiple channels (website, My Account, email, text, IVR).
• Partner with the Manager of Digital Strategy on social media content.
• Optimize content for external channels with SEO best practices.
• Lead writer for the monthly customer newsletter reaching 1M customers.
• Develop content for inSpire intranet and manage editorial calendars.
