Senior Communications Professional - Change Management

Join our caring community and help us put health first

Our Change Management team seeks an organized and creative Senior Communications Professional to develop internal communication plans that prepare sales agents and leaders for changes in products, processes, technologies, and business strategies.

This role involves creating campaigns for various audiences, raising awareness about changes, their impacts, and preparation strategies. The Senior Communications Professional will produce multi-channel communications, including emails, instant messaging campaigns, intranet content, knowledge articles, newsletters, and meeting materials. They will also define the knowledge management strategy, ensuring vital information is accessible to end-users.

Working closely with leaders, change managers, product owners, and project managers, the individual will independently craft communications and strategies tailored to stakeholder needs. This role influences departmental strategy and handles moderately to highly complex issues with considerable autonomy.

Key Responsibilities
Internal Communications
  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies supporting change initiatives aligned with company goals, culture, and values.
  • Collaborate with leadership and teams to ensure timely, relevant, and accessible communication.
  • Manage internal channels (e.g., intranet, newsletters, Teams) and enhance their effectiveness.
  • Create and distribute communications related to change management, including updates, leadership messages, employee engagement content, and meeting materials.
Knowledge Management
  • Design and implement strategies and systems for organizational knowledge sharing.
  • Maintain and optimize knowledge repositories such as wikis, intranet pages, and knowledge bases.
  • Partner with department leads to document processes, policies, and knowledge related to communications.
  • Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, templates, and self-service resources to streamline communication.
Change Management
  • Develop communication campaigns that support change strategies, ensuring clarity and maximizing adoption.
  • Present at change network meetings regarding information release and knowledge support.
  • Create templates for emails, presentations, and other materials for consistent messaging.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years in internal communications, organizational development, or knowledge management.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, with strong time management skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including visual communication.
  • Experience in copywriting, editing, and using internal communication tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, Notion, Confluence).
  • Ability to simplify complex messages and tailor content to various audiences.
  • Strategic thinker capable of aligning communication initiatives with broader strategies.
  • Ability to build partnerships across teams and foster a communication network.
  • Passionate about improving consumer experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field.
  • Experience in sales, healthcare, or insurance sectors.
  • Fluency in Spanish or other languages.
  • Go-to-market strategy experience.
Additional Information

Travel: Occasional travel to Humana offices may be required.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Pay Range: $86,300 - $118,700 per year (may vary based on location and experience). This position is eligible for a bonus based on performance.
