Milltown Partners in San Francisco seeks a Senior Analyst to deepen research and analysis, shaping client advice and contributing independently. You’ll work across live challenges for technology clients and investors, bringing a clear point of view and rigorous analysis beyond summaries.

You’ll use tools like Factiva, Meltwater and Claude to produce rigorous insights, and you’ll help craft client communications while developing advisory skills in business strategy and policy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months professional experience in communications or policy.
• Strong written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Experience researching and translating findings into clear analysis.
• Understanding of reputation management and corporate storytelling.
• Experience using AI tools safely and critically (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini).
• Interest in technology industry opportunities and challenges.
• Curiosity about technology, policy, investment and media.
• Desire to develop advisory skills in business strategy and communications.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from colleagues.
• Commitment to seeking and acting on feedback.
• Interest/experience in technology policy, financial communications, or stakeholder engagement.
• Experience with AI tools in academic or professional settings.
• Technical interests—websites, apps or similar projects.

Responsibilities

• Use Factiva and Meltwater to monitor media and policymakers.
• Leverage AI studio and Claude/Notebook LM to produce rigorous analysis.
• Draft content for CEOs, policymakers, journalists and investors.
• Contribute to discussions on client communications and audiences.
• Translate complexity into clear, actionable insights.
• Help manage logistics: scheduling, agendas, and tracking.
• Collaborate across the firm to sustain a high-standard advisory environment.
