Job Description

The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for the flow of communications both externally and internally that helps to manage the image of the company and the brand and achieve our company’s business goals. This includes developing strategies and leading the executional plans for customer communications, internal communications, PR, and social media, and collaborating closely with the customer success team, People Ops and the C-suite.

  • Create and execute effective customer communication strategies that help build customer satisfaction and loyalty. Work cross-functionally to maintain a 90-day communications calendar, streamline messages to contain volume, and own a consistent tone of voice that reflects our corporate brand.
  • Prioritize urgent and unforeseen customer communications containing timely and critical information, such as product outages.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop content strategy for customer newsletter and work closely with product marketing and the content writers on the creation and timely distribution.
  • Collaborate with People Ops on internal communications, including executive emails and the creation and distribution of employee newsletters.
  • Provide media relations support, including writing press releases, building relationships with industry press as appropriate, and monitoring and flagging important news stories and trends.
  • Support crisis communication and media training needs.
  • Collaborate with VP, corporate marketing and product marketing on drafting submissions for unpaid speaking opportunities.
  • Build and execute social media strategies, generate and publish engaging content, optimize company pages on various platforms, moderate user-generated content, establish core set of KPIs and analyze social data to increase following and engagement metrics.
  • Manage employee advocacy platform, Sociabble, creating steady stream of corporate social media posts for broad distribution, and maintaining effective usage internally.
  • Manage corporate communications budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications or equivalent.
  • 5 – 7 years' experience in corporate communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and ability to deal effectively with a wide range of internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Positive, problem-solving mindset able to communicate recommendations and make independent decisions.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with producing work-related content for social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, etc.
