State of South Carolina seeks a Senior Communications Manager to lead the visual, digital, and multimedia communications that support the State Treasurer’s Office and its consumer programs. You will drive the agency’s comprehensive communications strategy and public engagement efforts.

You will develop digital content, branding, videography, photography, and social media; assist with press materials and presentations; and build reporting metrics to measure impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration or related field, with at least 5 years of related experience.
• Exemplary writing, editing and proofreading skills are essential.
• Strong knowledge of external communications theory and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Executes visual and digital components of the agency's communications strategy to enable timely, impactful messaging.
• Develops digital media content, agency branding, videography, photography and social media for the Office and Consumer Programs.
• Assists with writing and editing press materials, speeches, presentations and reports for media release.
• Develops and maintains analytics to measure effectiveness of communications efforts.
