Job summary

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Communications Specialist 4 to support a major national laboratory. This hybrid role requires relocation or local residence in Los Alamos, NM or Santa Fe, NM, to work closely with program leadership and engagement teams.

The role focuses on communications planning, executing implementation strategies, and coordinating content across multiple channels to inform employees and stakeholders about transitions and changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required for DoE Q clearance.
• Strong editing, writing, and grammar skills.
• Experience with MS Word and basic AI/prompting concepts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as communications advisor to leadership and teams.
• Lead communications planning across workstreams and deploy strategies.
• Coordinate internal and external communications across channels.
• Collaborate with partners and maintain messaging consistency.
• Help staff understand upcoming changes and transition messaging.
