Job summary

Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) in Tukwila, WA is seeking a Senior Communications & Network Systems Engineer to join the E-7A Systems Engineering team and lead cross-disciplinary design and verification across multiple communications subsystems. This role requires an active U.S.

Secret Clearance, a BS in engineering or related field, and 9+ years of experience; 14+ years for senior level, and will be on-site at the specified location.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Secret Clearance required.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
• 9+ years of related work experience (Level 4) with communications systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced communications subsystems integrated with the E-7A system.
• Evaluate customer needs to define performance requirements and ensure compatibility of interfaces.
• Perform performance analyses to optimize system architecture and provide configuration recommendations.
• Apply end-to-end understanding of hardware, software, and network layers for the full system.
• Oversee cross-functional analyses including risk, safety, reliability and system security.
• Develop and monitor requirements management processes and technology readiness assessments.
• Resolve cross-functional technical issues between subsystems and constraints.
