Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Sr. Commodity Manager based in Wendell, NC, to lead strategic sourcing and supplier development across multiple manufacturing sites.

You will drive cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and operational excellence while partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance. You will design and execute sourcing strategies for critical commodities, build new supplier networks, and lead RFQs, negotiations, and capacity planning to strengthen the supply chain and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of strategic sourcing, commodity management, or procurement in manufacturing.
• Experience leading RFQs, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and supplier performance programs.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems, and eSourcing tools.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and willing to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing sourcing strategies for assigned commodities, driving cost savings, supplier performance, and supply chain resiliency.
• Identifying, qualifying, and onboarding new suppliers while benchmarking market capabilities, capacity, and cost structures.
• Leading complex RFQs, supplier negotiations, tooling programs, and capacity planning initiatives.
• Building alternate sourcing strategies to support growth, mitigate risk, and improve business continuity.
• Partnering with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance to align sourcing decisions with business objectives.
• Driving supplier productivity, continuous improvement, cost transparency, and performance management programs.
