Job summary

DPR Construction seeks a Lead Commissioning Engineer to oversee commissioning activities for complex projects in the United States. You will verify and validate MEP systems and integrated building systems, guiding teams through planning, testing, and turnover to ensure design intent and operational requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction management, or related field required.
• 6-8 years of experience in commissioning, MEP coordination, building systems operations, or related field.
• Experience leading commissioning on complex or mission-critical projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads commissioning planning and execution for complex projects, ensuring MEP and building systems are verified and validated.
• Develops and maintains commissioning plans defining testing requirements, inspections, start-up procedures, documentation and system testing.
• Coordinates cross-functional commissioning meetings and tracks progress until turnover.
• Reviews test documentation and vendor reports to ensure quality and compliance.
• Collaborates with project managers, MEP coordinators, clients and trade contractors to resolve commissioning issues.
• Mentors commissioning specialists and project teams, sharing best practices to improve performance.
• Recommends and implements process improvements and supports interviews for commissioning roles.
