Job summary

Meade is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer Lead to provide on-site technical leadership for the commissioning of mission-critical data center facilities. This role leads the field execution of L0–L6, ensuring safe, high-quality, and timely delivery of MEP systems through testing and handover.

Reporting to the Director of Commissioning, you will mentor engineers, coordinate with contractors and clients, and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and industry codes while traveling weekly

Qualifications

• 4+ years in building systems commissioning with leadership across L0-L6

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site technical authority and lead commissioning for MEP systems in data centers (L0–L6).
• Translate the Commissioning Plan into site-specific execution plans, test scripts, and performance tests.
• Lead day-to-day commissioning activities: observations, testing, IST, startup, energization, handover.
• Own and track the site commissioning schedule and milestones to meet project timelines.
• Troubleshoot complex issues during commissioning and startup; drive timely resolutions.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and field staff on testing methodology and safety.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and clients to witness testing and resolve conflicts.
• Ensure all work complies with Meade standards and industry codes (NEC, ASHRAE, NFPA, IEEE).
• Maintain logs, reports, and documentation; review test plans and turnover packages.
