Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Commissioning Engineer in Virginia to perform final testing, startup, and commissioning of low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment in field and manufacturing environments. Travel locally, regionally, or nationally as needed.

The role requires extensive electrical experience, ability to read various drawings, and knowledge of industry standards such as NEC, NFPA 70E, and NETA ATS/MTS. A strong safety mindset and collaboration with teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of relevant electrical experience with HS diploma or GED, or 8+ years with an associate/bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience.
• Valid/active U.S. work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Assist more experienced commissioning specialists coordinating and reviewing electrical deliverables.
• Prepare and review simple electrical sketches, CX plans, and data sheets.
• Perform simple routine electrical calculations.
• Review supplier documentation for compliance with specifications.
• Access department guides and standards via the electrical engineering web site.
