Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to perform final testing, startup, and commissioning of low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment in field and manufacturing environments.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, basic engineering theories, and the ability to work safely on customer sites. Travel regionally and nationally is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have 8+ years of relevant electrical experience with HS diploma or GED or 6+ years with an associate’s degree or 2+ years with a bachelor’s degree.
• Valid/active U.S. Work Authorization is required.
• Experience with commissioning, inspection and testing of electrical components and systems.

Responsibilities

• Assists more experienced Commissioning specialists coordinating and reviewing electrical deliverables.
• Prepares and reviews simple electrical sketches, CX plans, and data sheets.
• Performs simple routine electrical calculations.
• Assists in review of supplier documentation for compliance with specifications.
• Uses the electrical engineering site to access department guides and standards.
• Willing to travel to customer sites periodically.
