Job summary

BGIS is seeking a Commissioning Agent to work remotely in the United States, supporting mission‑critical equipment commissioning for power, HVAC, and related systems. This role requires extensive travel (up to 75%) to client sites for training, meetings, and on‑site testing.

You should have 7 years of experience in electrical power distribution or mechanical systems, an AA degree or equivalent, and proficiency with test equipment and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• 7 years in electrical power distribution or mechanical systems or both.
• AA degree, military training or equivalent.
• Experience diagnosing and solving construction and operational problems.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proven proficiency with commissioning procedures and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform design reviews of systems.
• Develop, oversee and write startup and commissioning policies and procedures.
• QA/QC of the equipment installation.
• Perform construction observations and develop functional test plans.
• Execute tests for electrical and mechanical systems per standards.
• Assist in training plant operations and maintenance personnel.
• Liaise with vendors and subcontractors for problem resolution and testing.
