Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the development of commissioning programs for AP1000. The role is located in Rock Hill, SC or Cranberry Township, PA with a hybrid schedule (onsite 2 days/week) and reports to the Commissioning Manager.

Responsibilities include establishing standard commissioning procedures, schedules, and training programs, while supporting APX project teams and customer inquiries. Requires engineering degree and nuclear plant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of applicable experience.
• Experience with the operations of nuclear power plants.
• Understanding ITAACs (Inspections, Tests, Analysis, Acceptance Criteria).
• Strong commitment to safety and procedural compliance; analytical thinking and teamwork.

• Develop and maintain a recommended standard commissioning schedule.
• Develop and maintain a set of standard commissioning administrative procedures.
• Develop pre-operational and startup testing, including system turnover packages.
• Plan and implement a comprehensive training program for deployable test engineers.
• Identify and support procurement of specialty test equipment.
• Support APX project teams as requested.
• Support the APx Project Development group responding to customer requests for information.

About The Role

As a Senior Engineer (AP1000 Commissioning Support) you will be responsible for leading development of Westinghouse products in support of the APx Commissioning organization. You will establish the standard commissioning program and procedures and support infrastructure development needed to support the various scopes.

You will report to the Commissioning Manager and be located at Rock Hill, SC or Cranberry Township, PA. The position is hybrid; you will be onsite 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead application development and deployment with a cross functional team of engineers
• Develop and maintain the standard commissioning program strategy document
• Develop and maintain a recommended standard commissioning schedule
• Develop and maintain a set of standard commissioning administrative procedures
• Develop pre-operational and startup testing, including system turnover packages following engineering specifications
• Plan and implement a comprehensive training program to ensure readiness of deployable test engineers
• Identify and support procurement of specialty test equipment
• Support APX project teams as requested
• Support the APx Project Development group responding to customer requests for information

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.
