- Holding professional registrations in all 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and Canada, our client is equipped to deliver coordinated, multi-discipline services wherever clients have projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage commissioning efforts across all phases of building projects, from design through occupancy.
- Develop and execute commissioning plans, including pre-functional checklists, functional performance tests, and final commissioning reports.
- Review design documents (drawings, specifications, submittals) to ensure systems are designed with commissioning and performance in mind.
- Conduct site visits to perform inspections, observe system installations, and oversee equipment start-up and testing.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including owners, architects, engineers, and contractors, to align commissioning activities and timelines.
- Identify system deficiencies and track resolution to ensure compliance with performance expectations and contract requirements.
- Facilitate commissioning meetings and provide regular updates to clients and project teams.
- Verify energy efficiency strategies and ensure systems operate per design intent and sustainability goals (e.g., LEED, WELL, or Energy Star).
- Maintain thorough documentation of all commissioning procedures, issues logs, and final deliverables.
- Mentor junior commissioning agents and support continuous improvement of commissioning processes and best practices.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in building commissioning or building control systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of commissioning processes for building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and fire protection.
- Strong understanding of industry standards, documentation practices, and best-in-class commissioning protocols.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency strategies and sustainable design principles (e.g., LEED, ASHRAE Guidelines).
- Strong ability to prepare commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, test scripts, and final reports.
