The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of power and control systems, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with project teams to deliver safe, efficient, and code-compliant results.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop Commissioning Plans and Procedures:
Create comprehensive test protocols to validate the performance of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and emergency backup systems.
System Testing:
Perform functional testing on electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, generators, and motor control centers to ensure alignment with design specifications.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Document test results, analyze system performance data, and produce detailed reports outlining findings and any deviations.
Troubleshooting and Corrective Action:
Identify and resolve issues encountered during commissioning. Coordinate with contractors and vendors to implement necessary adjustments.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical safety codes and standards, including NEC and NETA requirements.
On-Site Coordination:
Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to effectively manage the on-site commissioning process.
Technical Support:
Provide expert-level support and guidance for complex issues related to electrical systems during the commissioning phase.
Documentation and Project Handover:
Prepare thorough commissioning documentation, including test records, punch lists, and final handover packages for the operations team.
Travel Requirement:
Site visits may be required up to 75% of the year, depending on project needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Solid understanding of electrical engineering concepts, including power and control systems
Hands-on experience with electrical testing procedures and equipment

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for team collaboration
