Job summary

Shamrock Consulting in Tampa is seeking a Senior Commissioning Agent to lead functional testing and validation of electrical systems across mission-critical facilities. You will collaborate with design engineers, vendors, contractors, and owner teams to ensure operations are reliable and optimized.

This role requires hands-on field experience, knowledge of codes, and ability to develop commissioning plans, QA/QC processes, and inspection reports.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on field experience testing, validating, and troubleshooting large electrical or mechanical systems.
• Strong working knowledge of applicable codes and LEED fundamentals.
• ASHRAE, BCxA, or PECI Cx / Retro-Cx experience is a plus.

We're hiring a Senior Commissioning Agent in Tampa to lead functional testing and validation of electrical systems across 24x7 mission-critical, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and power generation facilities. You'll work side by side with design engineers, vendors, contractors, and owner teams to make complex systems operational, optimized, and proven.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute functional test plans for multi-stack equipment and redundant system configurations
• Write and administer Commissioning Plans and Systems Manuals
• Review specs, drawings, submittals, and design criteria; own the QA/QC process for your work and others'
• Conduct field inspections and issue detailed inspection reports
• Support project scheduling, staffing, and budget planning

What you bring

• Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 7+ years hands-on field experience testing, validating, and troubleshooting large electrical or mechanical systems
• 7–10 years in the MEP field, including data center, industrial, pharmaceutical, or clean room environments
• Strong working knowledge of applicable codes and LEED fundamentals
• ASHRAE, BCxA, or PECI Cx / Retro-Cx experience is a plus
