Job summary

J Reynolds, a Tecta America Company, based in Saginaw, TX, is seeking a Commercial Waterproofing Estimator to lead estimating and preconstruction activities for nationwide projects.

You will generate detailed takeoffs, prepare competitive bids, and collaborate with owners, designers, and contractors to drive profitable waterproofing solutions while supporting project delivery from bid through contract award.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial waterproofing, restoration, building envelope, roofing, or related construction trades.
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, contracts, and construction documents.
• Experience preparing detailed quantity takeoffs and project estimates.
• Strong understanding of waterproofing assemblies, building envelope systems, and construction practices.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction estimating software.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience interacting with owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, and subcontractors.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Generate accurate estimates from construction drawings, specifications, field measurements, site inspections, photographs, sketches, and other project documentation.
• Review plans and specifications to determine project scope, constructability, labor requirements, material quantities, and equipment needs.
• Identify and communicate discrepancies, omissions, and deviations in plans, specifications, schedules, and contract documents.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
• Develop detailed cost budgets and project estimates for waterproofing systems and related construction solutions.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and pricing for below-grade waterproofing, plaza deck systems, coatings, sealants, air barriers, joint systems, and other waterproofing applications.
• Maintain accurate estimating records and bid documentation.
