Job summary

Republic Business Credit, a subsidiary of Renasant Bank, is seeking an Underwriter to assess and bring new clients to funding. You will support underwriting, client service and sales teams across factoring, traditional factoring, and asset-based lending, reviewing financials and credit policies.

Responsibilities include credit analysis, collateral evaluation, and coordinating with business development to ensure compliant, timely funding decisions in a fast-paced commercial finance environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree required (or equivalent years of directly related experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience required, at least 10 years of related experience preferred.
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform credit analysis using reports, financial statements, tax returns, appraisals and field examinations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statement spreads to assess client strength and risk.
• Conduct collateral analysis of assets including receivables, inventory, equipment, and real estate.
• Coordinate with underwriting and client services to support funding decisions.
