Job summary

Old Republic Title, Eastern Title Division, is seeking a Commercial Examiner to search and examine commercial title records, produce accurate title commitments and reports, and resolve moderately complex title issues in a timely fashion.

The role emphasizes applying underwriting standards, organizing results into a chain of title, and preparing final title products; overtime may be required and collaboration with management and clients is essential.

Responsibilities

• Search title records using commercial title examination knowledge and underwriting standards.
• Organize search results into an accurate chain of title for basic to moderately complex orders.
• Examine documents in the chain of title for validity based on ownership and legal descriptions.
• Prepare final title products with attached records and tax information.
• Handle complex title orders requiring higher title expertise.
• Overtime as requested and maintain reliable attendance.
• Collaborate professionally with management, employees and customers by email, phone or in person.
• Demonstrate proactive and responsive service to supervisor, co-workers and customers.
