Job summary

RLI Insurance Company is seeking an Underwriter to support our Southeast territory. Open to Sr. Underwriter, Manager, or Director-level candidates, with salary flexibility based on experience.

The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge in Commercial Surety and proven growth leadership. Responsibilities include directing underwriting, monitoring accounts, developing broker relationships, and leading projects to drive profitability. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in insurance, finance, risk management, business, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar field or position.
• Experience developing agency relationships and managing a profitable book of business.

Responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of the underwriting process for a group within a product line.
• Underwrite and monitor commercial accounts and account lines.
• Develop and execute a marketing plan by targeting new brokers, arranging meetings, and attending industry functions.
• Perform and monitor the risk analysis.
• Analyze, evaluate, accept, decline, rate, quote, and bind new or renewal submissions.
• Lead special projects and other duties as needed.
