Job summary

Hatteras Capital Advisors seeks a Senior Commercial Superintendent in Columbia, SC. You will provide onsite leadership for commercial projects from preconstruction through turnover, coordinating subcontractors, field activities and schedules while upholding safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial construction experience, including superintendent-level responsibility.
• Experience with ground-up construction and renovations.
• Experience on commercial, education, retail, industrial, medical, and hospital projects.
• Medical/hospital and education construction experience is highly desirable.
• Strong scheduling, sequencing, field operations, and safety knowledge.
• OSHA and related safety certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite leadership and day-to-day management of projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, deliveries, and site activities.
• Develop and communicate project schedules and look-ahead plans.
• Ensure work is performed per plans, specs, schedules, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with PMs, architects, engineers, owners, and subs to resolve field issues.
• Monitor progress and proactively address scheduling, quality, safety, or coordination concerns.
• Lead coordination meetings and oversee punch-list, inspections, and turnover.
• Maintain daily reports and project documentation; enforce safety policies.
• Mentor field personnel and foster a team-oriented site culture.
