Job summary

Our client seeks an experienced General Superintendent for commercial construction projects in Maryland. The role focuses on leading field operations, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence on complex sites.

Candidates should have extensive non-residential construction experience, strong planning skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff. Travel throughout Maryland and Pennsylvania is anticipated as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in non-residential building construction.
• Experience leading field teams and coordinating subcontractors.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6 or critical path scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field operations across multiple projects or lead large complex sites.
• Develop and implement project execution strategies for safe, on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with PMs, field personnel, and subcontractors to maintain alignment.
• Establish project schedules with PMs and critical path schedulers, using Primavera P6.
• Prepare logistics plans detailing site operations, resources, and sequencing.
• Develop and implement project safety plans and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Monitor progress, labor utilization, and costs to protect budget and profitability.
• Review contract documents to meet quality standards and specifications.
• Mentor superintendents and support development of field leaders.
