Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation in Findlay, OH is seeking a Commercial Strategy Advisor to drive long‑term value across the South Fuels Value Chain. You will lead asset optimization, evaluate growth opportunities, and influence decisions through rigorous analysis and clear tradeoffs for senior leadership.

You will coordinate with Commercial, Refining, Marketing, Trading, and Logistics teams, build business cases, and guide strategic projects from inception to execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with relevant business focus.
• 7+ years in Commercial, Strategy, or related area; advanced analytical skills.
• Experience influencing senior leadership and managing cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Identify and lead logistics cost reduction and strategic placement efforts for MPC production.
• Manage senior-level commercial relationships with third-party logistc providers and contracts.
• Lead growth opportunities including acquisitions, mergers, or divestments and asset development.
• Perform economic evaluation and financial modeling to create value aligned with strategy.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand needs and propose solutions.
• Co-lead cross-functional projects from business case to execution.
• Communicate plans and opportunities clearly to executives and teams.
