Job summary

B&I Contractors, Inc. seeks an experienced Commercial Sheet Metal Quality Control professional to implement and maintain the quality management system on large-scale commercial sheet metal projects in Florida.

The role focuses on duct systems and air-side equipment, ensuring all standards and procedures are met on-site. You will control quality documentation, oversee nonconformance processes, and coordinate with project leadership to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in QA/QC for commercial sheet metal projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with Procore, ACC or similar CM systems.
• Proficiency with field reporting on tablets and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Control and distribute all quality documentation for sheet metal projects.
• Monitor quality activities on-site with focus on fabrication and duct standards.
• Attend client quality management meetings and represent QA interests.
• Prepare and maintain project-specific quality system documentation (ITPs).
• Oversee NCRs/RCLs disposition and resolution.
• Coordinate QA/QC with Project Manager and Site Superintendent.
• Report quality performance data and address customer complaints.
• Archive project documentation upon completion and support the Superintendent.
