Job summary

Allied Universal Technology Services is seeking a Senior Service Technician to service, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot access control and IP-based video systems at commercial client sites. The role requires travel, effective documentation, and strong IT/network knowledge.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in the field, relevant licenses, and the ability to work independently or on a team. The position offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5+ years of field experience in security systems.
• Licensing as required by state (e.g. Class D or Alarm Installer) or ability to obtain.
• Strong understanding of Windows OS and IT networks.
• Must be proactive with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders up to 16 ft.
• Available for scheduled on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance, and repairs of access control and IP-based video systems.
• Travel to commercial client sites to service and troubleshoot equipment.
• Document and track service issues and resolutions.
• Provide remote diagnostic support and on-site troubleshooting.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and CAD drawings for low-voltage work.
• Maintain relationships with customers and coordinate with leadership.
