Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Project Manager to oversee roofing construction projects in the Houston area. You will manage field teams, coordinate with contractors, track budgets, and ensure schedule adherence across multiple regions.

This role requires commercial roofing experience, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate with service departments. Expect site visits, after-hours support, and driving project delivery within set budgets.

Qualifications

• Commercial roofing experience is required.
• 3+ years of commercial construction or roofing project management experience.
• Knowledge of commercial roofing systems (low-slope, shingles, standing seam metal, wall metal systems).
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and field personnel.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand project plans, specifications, and construction docs.
• Comfortable in office and active jobsite environments.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to jobsites.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned jobs and field personnel in the DFW region and others as needed.
• Track warehouse inventory used by field staff and provide updates to the Project Coordinator.
• Establish and monitor budgets; adjust weekly to keep projects on track.
• Maintain and update labor schedules, including a one-week look-ahead plan.
• Manage equipment rentals and budgets to minimize costs while optimizing production.
• Monitor project backlog and plan for staff and labor needs; site visits for upcoming projects.
• Close out projects by scheduling final manufacturer inspections and addressing punch lists.
• Attend and lead operations handoff meetings with field staff and subcontractors.
• Conduct site walks with general contractors and labor to ensure quality and schedule adherence.
• Attend pre-construction meetings with general contractor staff.
• Complete timely reporting (payroll, reports, checklists, photos).
• Update projected start/end dates weekly on the QuickBase dashboard.
• Provide weekly project updates to the Director of Operations.
