Job summary

TalentSphere in the Greater Los Angeles Area is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our Southern California team. This hands-on role combines field inspections, takeoffs, blueprint review, scope development, estimating, and proposal preparation for commercial roofing and waterproofing projects.

You will work closely with the Chief Estimator, expanding technical estimating expertise while developing toward greater responsibility within the organization.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial roofing or estimating experience.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, and flashing details.
• Knowledge of CA construction requirements.
• Strong field measurement and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication with customers, contractors, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate takeoffs, estimates, scopes of work, and proposals for commercial roofing and waterproofing projects.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, blueprints, flashing details, and other project documentation.
• Utilize estimating software such as The EDGE, PlanSwift, or comparable platforms.
• Identify labor, material, equipment, access, and logistical requirements for each project.
• Assist in developing competitive and accurate project pricing and estimates.
• Work closely with the Chief Estimator and team to review scope and potential challenges.
• Maintain organized estimating documentation and project records.
