Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines renewal underwriter with 4–5 years in P&C. The role focuses on managing, pricing, and retaining existing accounts while protecting portfolio profitability and staying within authority limits.

You will serve as the primary contact for agents and brokers, negotiate renewals, issue quotes, and collaborate with production underwriters to ensure accurate renewals and compliant processing.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of dedicated Commercial Property & Casualty underwriting experience.
• Experience handling middle-market multi-line packages preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Insurance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assess and renew a defined portfolio of Commercial Lines renewal business.
• Develop pricing strategies and renewal quotes within service windows.
• Review agency reports to identify profitability trends and risks.
• Negotiate terms with brokers and manage exceptions.
• Ensure compliance with laws and internal guidelines.
