Job summary

FirstCall Mechanical in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Commercial Refrigeration Technician II to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and an active EPA Certification to service commercial refrigeration equipment.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing maintenance on ice machines and other refrigerated systems, and mentoring apprentices while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ of experience in a commercial HVAC setting.
• Active EPA Certification is required.
• Ability to diagnose and repair commercial refrigeration systems and controls.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose causes of problems in commercial refrigeration systems and components.
• Perform maintenance and service repairs on ice machines and other refrigerated systems.
• Repair or replace defective parts and controls.
• Communicate with Dispatch to ensure completion of scheduled jobs.
• Mentor apprentices and junior technicians; support safety and quality standards.
