Job summary

Shulman Rogers’ Real Estate Department in Potomac seeks an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal with expertise in title insurance, title examination, and complex closings. The role requires independent management of sophisticated transactions from due diligence through closing and post-closing, working closely with attorneys, clients, lenders, and underwriters.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years handling sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.
• Extensive title insurance and underwriting expertise.
• Licensed Title Producer in MD, VA, and DC.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, refinancings, and lending.
• Examine title reports, ALTA surveys, and UCC searches; identify and resolve title issues.
• Prepare title insurance commitments, endorsements, policies, and closing documents.
• Coordinate due diligence, settlement statements, escrow accounts, disbursements, recordings, and post-closing matters.
• Manage multiple transactions and communicate directly with attorneys, clients, lenders, and other participants.
