Shulman Rogers' Potomac office seeks an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal with a strong track record in title insurance, title examination, and complex closings. The role requires managing sophisticated transactions end-to-end—diligence through closing—while coordinating with attorneys, clients, lenders, and title underwriters.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in sophisticated CRE transactions, substantial title underwriting expertise, and a valid Title Producer License in MD, VA, and

• 8+ years handling sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.
• Extensive commercial title insurance and underwriting expertise; manage complete commercial closings.
• Must hold a valid Title Producer License in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
• Strong knowledge of commercial lending, lien priorities, and recording requirements in Maryland, D.C., and Virginia.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, communication and financial skills.
• Bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with affordable housing finance, LIHTC transactions, tax-exempt bonds, and agency financing is highly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Manage complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, refinancings, and commercial lending.
• Examine title reports, ALTA surveys, and UCC searches; identify and resolve title issues.
• Prepare title insurance commitments, endorsements, policies, and closing documents.
• Coordinate due diligence, settlement statements, escrow accounts, disbursements, recordings, and post-closing matters.
• Manage multiple transactions and communicate directly with attorneys, clients, lenders, and other transaction participants.
