Job summary

MPI is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its Los Angeles team and own commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will lead complex ground-up work across office, healthcare, life science, industrial and hospitality sectors, coordinating with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Experience working for a General Contractor.
• Proven experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Strong understanding of construction budgets, schedules, contracts, and change orders.
• Experience managing subcontractors, architects, consultants, and owners.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ground-up construction experience is highly desirable.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and desire to grow with a rapidly expanding company.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules.
• Manage contracts, subcontracts, change orders, and project costs.
• Lead project meetings with owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Review plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Coordinate with the Superintendent to ensure field execution.
• Monitor project financial performance and overall profitability.
• Identify potential project risks and develop solutions.
• Maintain relationships with clients and project partners.
• Participate in preconstruction and project planning.
• Coordinate project closeout and turnover.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
