Job summary

Cherry Coatings, established as a leading commercial paint contractor, seeks a Superintendent to supervise multiple commercial paint crews across job sites in Texas. You will ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to Cherry’s safety and quality standards.

Role emphasizes hands-on field leadership, collaboration with foremen, and client relationship management. Heavy travel (80%) to job sites and overtime/night shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus; English reading/writing is a MUST.
• Experience in commercial paint environments is required.
• Strong commercial paint experience is required.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record are required.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Hands-on leadership in the field with strong communication is essential.
• MS Office skills (Excel/Word/Email) are required.

Responsibilities

• Take inventory of materials on arrival and before completion.
• Collaborate with Foreman on training new crews or foremen on new systems.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed and quality standards met.
• Perform site quality control to assess workmanship and efficiency.
• Maintain efficient pace and adherence to the schedule.
• Document and correct poor workmanship promptly; provide training as needed.
• Check that foremen organize materials/tools and minimize waste.
• Develop client relationships and secure positive references for future projects.
• Set realistic expectations with clients and address complaints with professionalism.
• Respond to and minimize job site issues; escalate when needed.
• Train Foreman on time corrections and disciplinary measures.
• Coordinate material needs with Warehouse/PM; limit last-minute trips.
• Ensure proper use of Cherry tools and completion of JHAs daily.
• Document work tickets hours and obtain signatures promptly.
