Job Description Summary

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead development of commercial frameworks for complex, high-value deals—balancing revenue, risk, and compliance while aligning with customer requirements.
  • Own creation and governance of tailored commercial proposals, ensuring clarity, competitiveness, and alignment with internal standards.
  • Serve as a key commercial advisor to Sales and coordinate across Legal, Finance, and Product for deal-specific strategy and approvals.
  • Communicate deal strategy, risks, and trade-offs to senior stakeholders, including regional leadership and functional heads.
  • Maintain rigor around commercial policies, pricing guidelines, and approval workflows, ensuring adherence to internal controls, ASC 606, and audit standards.
  • Partner with Commercial Excellence and Sales Operations teams to improve commercial systems and processes.
  • Define and monitor KPIs related to deal velocity, pricing discipline, sales efficiency, and margin impact.
  • Uphold process excellence in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Commercial Operations, Deal Desk, Strategic Pricing, or Proposal Management, preferably in enterprise software or SaaS.
  • Experience leading or supporting large, complex enterprise deals with multi-year terms and high customer visibility.
  • Deep knowledge of commercial deal structures, pricing strategies, and software contracting principles.
  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence.
  • Proficiency with CRMs and analytics platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Power BI).
  • Detail-oriented with a disciplined, process-driven mindset.
  • Ability to lead initiatives independently and work effectively across functions.

  • Experience collaborating with external subcontractors and strategic partners.
  • Background in regulated electricity markets or highly governed sectors.
  • Proven success in improving deal quality, speed, and margin.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset.

Additional Information:

The salary range is $115,000 - $143,000 USD, influenced by experience, education, and location. The role is eligible for commission. Benefits include healthcare, retirement plans, tuition assistance, paid parental leave, and more.
